The Best Thing I Ever Did

Looking back over the past 12 months, I had the opportunity to travel across the world, to become a more supportive husband, and to become an active participant in my own recovery. I can acknowledge my growth and what has happened as a result of it. The single best thing I did was focus on my personal recovery. It has been transformative in so many ways. I am able to think more clearly, I have greater peace of mind, and I am able to accept myself for who I am. However, the greatest gift of all is every day I get to share what I have learned when I engage with each and every one of you—whether client, neighbor, friend, or colleague. Watching each of us grow into the highest form of ourselves is a miracle!

In recovery, the best retort I ever heard to “Keep coming back” was “STAY!”
