Registered Dietitian and Sugar Addiction Coach

I have been working as a Registered Dietitian (RD) since 2013. I started my career in hospital care, I then became a Certified Nutrition Support Clinician to better support my patients unable to eat by mouth. I then moved back to Boston to be closer to the most important part of my life, my family. I began working in a bariatric clinic. I found that I was meant to work with Weight Management, Emotional Eating, and Sugar Addiction. Seeing the transformation that my clients make over the course of weeks and months is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. I bring this joy into full light with Trigger Free Nutrition. Now, in private practice, I can help you to enhance your life and your health. For me, this is a gift!

Very early in life, I was surrounded by food addiction in my home. My mother, a self proclaimed sugar addict in recovery, openly states, "I was given this disease so my son could help others who are sick and suffering, like I was for so many years." RECOVERY IS POSSIBLE FOR EVERYONE!  I believe it comes down to one thing only -WILLINGNESS!  If you are interested in food addiction and my experience with food addicts, please see my Blog section. Also, see the Sugar Addiction section for important information.

Since 2015, I have been the consulting RD for Renascent, a drug, alcohol, and now food treatment program in Toronto for Canadian women. I work with Dr. Vera Tarman, Medical Director of Renascent and co-author of Food Junkies: The Truth About Food Addiction.

As a Board Member for The Food Addiction Institute (FAI), I serve as Co-Chair for its Webinar Committee, editing and managing our bi-monthly food addiction webinars for the FAI YouTube Channel. A video presentation of my model can be found There.

Graduating from the first class of the International School for Food Addiction Counseling and Treatment (INFACT), I became certified as a Food Addiction Counselor (FAC) through the Nordic Baltic Regional Certification Board. I was privileged to study under Phil Werdell M.A; Bitten Jonsson RN;  Marty Lerner PhD; H. Theresa Wright MS, RD, LDN; Vera Tarman MD; and school founder, Esther Helga Guðmundsdóttir MSc.

I am eager to help those suffering from emotional eating, sugar addiction, and other related disorders. I welcome your trust and willingness to work together.

Are you willing to be willing? To try something different?

It would be an honor to fly tandem with you!

Healthy Regards,

David Avram Wolfe MS, RD, LDN, CNSC, FAC, SUGAR
